Memo to Mother Nature

Dear Mother Nature,

I think it’s time for an intervention. Seriously. You’ve been acting a little nuts lately.

A 7.6 earthquake last night? with a follow-up TSUNAMI THREAT?? Really??? And so soon after the whole rain-and-flood-fest you just put us through?

What were you thinking??

And don’t think I’ve forgotten about that OTHER big earthquake in 1990. Fine, so at first I thought my cousin Inkee was just shaking the bed to mess up my SuperMario streak, but once my Tita came rushing out of the bathroom praying, I KNEW IT WAS YOU!!! 

And oh yeah, speaking of showers, that Mount Pinatubo eruption was no picnic either.  Admittedly the ashfall was kind of interesting and fun at first…

But later on?  NOT SO MUCH!

STOP CACKLING, Mother Nature! 

It’s not funny!

I may be making light of this, but the Filipino people have really been suffering, so please, just do us all a favor:
