5 Funny Blogs to Help Kick Your Pinterest Addiction
I try to keep my time on Pinterest to a minimum, because it’s just too addictive. In fact, I’m pretty sure it was invented by the devil to ensure that I never get any work done….

… and that I never lose weight…

It also makes me want to travel all year long, and build and decorate 5 different houses I can’t afford, and all sorts of other things.
But I think the most evil thing about Pinterest is that it makes me believe I can be all ARTSY AND CRAFTY…

So much so that I bought a TON of materials for my “future projects” when I was in the States earlier this year (despite some very loud and violent protests and warnings from my husband and my BFF Mia)…

… and umm yeah, they’re all still gathering dust in a box somewhere, 9 months later.

Big Fail. And I blame YOU, Pinterest.
Thing is, even though I’ve been able to successfully ground myself from Pinterest in the past months, I feel kind of guilty because I got my sister Bambi hooked on it.

I’m sorry, nephews and niece. I’ve created a monster.
As far as I know, they haven’t come up with any Pinterest Addiction support groups yet (they should, though) but there are a few blogs I visit every so often when the need to re-pin myself to Pinterest becomes too strong. They’re also hilarious, which helps a lot.
They might be able to help you (and Bambi) too, so here they are.
1. Pintester
The tag line of this blog is “Fucking up pins so you don’t have to” — which is self-explanatory, I think. :) Pintester is really funny, go bookmark it NOW.

2. Pinstrosity
This isn’t a site to just laugh and make fun of projects gone wrong (although occasionally giggles and guffaws do come out), but also to help troubleshoot and learn from the Pinterest Fails we all have.
Pinstrosity features a bunch of user-submitted Pinterest project fails that totally crack me up. It’s the perfect antidote for delusional “pin-spired” people like me.

Y’ALL ARE GOING A BIT OVERBOARD OVER THERE. I’M HERE TO HELP. I love Pinterest as much as the next gal. But the more time I spent there, the more I noticed that some of the pins were perhaps testing the bounds of reason.
Some of the posts on this Tumblr blog really make me LOL. (Yes, for real)
Here’s a sample:

Too funny. :D And if you like laughing at the worst that Pinterest has to offer, you’ll probably enjoy (4) Pinfuriating and (5) WTF, Pinterest as well.
They’re a great way to get a filtered and funny Pinterest fix without actually getting sucked in to Pinterest itself… because Pinterest is the pet project of the devil, I tell you.
So enjoy the blogs, and good luck with that addiction. :)
Have a great day!
